DC Luxembourg stages 9th international youth camp in the Olympic year!
48 young players and 8 coaches representing as many as six different nations joined the 9th edition of the annual International Youth Volleyball Camp organised by the FIVB/CEV Development Centre Luxembourg.
During the five day's camp, the participants joined indoor, beachvolleyball and physical training sessions, beside an attractive sideevent program.
The Luxembourg Volleyball Federation proudly presented the new beach volleyball area. With the integration of the beach volleyball, the training was very attractive and varied “This beach volleyball courts are a big plus for the camp and an additional opportunity for our federation to grow young athletes,” says FLVB President Guy Erpelding.
Once again the camp was under the guidance of Ruben Wolochin, the Argentinean-born headcoach of Germany’s Volleyball Club TV Ingersoll BÜHL.
Ruben Wolochin says: “The quality of the sport facilities is really amazing. The federal coaches find here all facilities to grow the sport. I am sure, that the future will show us a stabil development. My congratulation, I will keep my eyes on FLVB, because a lot of young players can be very interesting for professional clubs. Once again: I’m very proud of what we delivered and very pleased with the organisational level and also with the collaboration with this now well-established Development Centre here in Luxembourg.”
The Director of the Luxembourg Development Centre, Burkhard Disch, says: “The positive working together between Ruben and our federal coaches was very fruitful. I am very happy, that every year young players participate on our camp, which goes next year in the 10th edition. Our goal after last year’s edition to increase the number of participants was not fulfilled, but I think that we definitely reached the major goal. We made a great camp for the kids, which they never will forget. I am sure that the combination of Indoor and Beachvolleyball, combined with fun activities is a key to inspire our young generation. Many thanks to all who attended the camp and many thanks to all coaches and animators who gave all to motivate the participants!"
The DC in Luxembourg invites all young players born after 1999 next year from 14.-19.07.2017 to the 10th edition.
